Lance Serjeant William Silvester was born in 1888,
son of Thomas Joseph Silvester and Elizabeth (née Dyer),
13 Bettesworth Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight, died of heart failure, Gallipoli, August 1915.

George White's letter of 25th August 1915 says "You know the Sergeant who was billeted with me, well poor chap, he died of heart failure while we were in the trenches".
His medal card simply says "Died".
